Im really proud of myself, having completed the 10km run this morning.
Lack of training is pretty obvious and my left knee has been giving me issues.
Glad that I pressed on and slow jogged the entire race. My favourite song was cheering me on as I crossed the finish line.
Nevermind that Im limping around now. But I doubt I'll be fit enough for kickboxing tomorrow night..Hmmm
Next week's gonna be packed with dinners and celebrations. Department christmas dinner at The Knolls at Capella and Jessy's wedding dinner at Shang. Will be fun!
Till then, take care my sweets.
Love,
Drey
ps: Are we set on an alternative christmas gathering date?

LOVE is....
I was happily eating my duck wings during dinner when Daddy came by and pinched me really hard on my left cheek and said "Eat lah..eat more!?!! So fat already still eat?!?"
In Grace's definition, this is what we call "Hard Love"..... -___-"'
=====================================================
Went wakeboarding again this morning. Haven't quite mastered the tricks but I always enjoyed myself when riding.
And I tried wakesurfing for the very 1st time today! Good stuff. Never knew there was this cheaper alternative to flying to Bali to surf. You could do it just behind a moving motorboat. Save us the efforts having to paddle out to catch the waves. haha Pics soon!
I'll be off to Tokyo this Wednesday - and Goh is already there with her kiddos! Catch you girls when Im back :)
Off to continue my luggage packing and God bless for a safe trip.
And all the best to all running the last lap of this year. Jiayou!
Muacksssssss

Halloween 2009
Had a smashing good time at Zouk's Halloween Party yesterday.

I guess when age catches up, I feel sleepy early when the clock strikes 11! haha and didnt help that my lower back was aching as well. Was out of Zouk and in my civillian outfit by 1230am to head over to Bukit Timah for supper with my boy. :p
It's been an eventful weekend with Halloween on Saturday and tennis this afternoon.
For the remaining hours of this tonight, I'll take it easy, rest and recuperate for the busy week coming right up. Will be off to Tokyo in the following week so there are tonnes of work to clear and prepare my holiday notes, of course.
Catch you girls soon.
God bless and have a good week ahead.
Love,
Drey
The sudden heavy downpour set us back on the meeting time, but thankfully did not dampen the party mood. Early entry for us, all thanks to hl's good efforts in queuing in the rain. Thanks sweetie!
Dressed up as Arabian princesses (not belly dancers, pls!), we were busy taking pictures the whole time with all the funny ghosts and characters.
My favourite character for the night has to be the taoist priest leading a train of chinese vampires. We saw a similar troop in Zouk 2 years back but the taoist priest this year was more impressive, and only because he had this D cup white bra wrapped on top of his head. Daring move I must say. He's risking all chances of winning mahjong, 4D, toto...haha

to be or not to be...
Just had my work review session, which got me really perplexed.
Do I have to be a leader in order to excel? Does being a good team player undermine my ability and capacity?
I'm afraid that the opportunity just flew past me. I wasn't quick or clear-minded enough to catch it. Then again I don't know if I want it...
Urghh...
Never mind if you don't understand...

Old Friend
Arranged to meet an old friend this coming Sat for brunch. Finally.
We haven't spoke for quite a while. This old friend's been travelling quite a bit. We have been wanting to arrange for a meet up since 2 years back! But nothing materialized.
Would like to hear of work life in Azerbaijan, wherever that is...haha
Looking forward to the meet up. Like I told hl - it may just be the highlight of my week!
But of cos, nothing beats the return of my boy from his (dodgey?? haha) guys trip to BKK.
Take care my loves,
Drey

My 1st birthday present for this year..
Thanks to Keet - I've a new pillow. Yippies...! :)
My neck has been hurting quite a bit in recent weeks and I've set my sight on the seahorse brand memory pillow. It feels great..and sturdy enough for sure!
So I pestered Keet to buy me the pillow for my birthday haha..Thanks bro. For you, I shall be committed and do a frequent update and review of the pillow. Watch this space... And Angsty Keet's too.... :p
On my (forthcoming) birthday, I resolute to pick up jogging again. My face is getting rounder and rounder each day. Bleah. Of course, I'll have to take care of those (in Grace's description: rotting??) big toes of mine. Hee..
Till then, take care my dearies.

goh's Randomities (no such word...it just sounds nice)
I've always wondered how I would react when I see someone whom I want to see yet don't like seeing... eg. boyfriend's ex, love rival, or your own ex. I've pictured myself in these awkward situations a thousand times. In my daydream I would be extremely gracious, smiling to the person and doing a little wave to say 'Hi'. If I'm feeling friendly enough, I might even actually say 'Hi'.
Sad to say, that is quite far from reality...
I did what I know best - act blur... (read: pretend I didn't see the person)
Haha... What a far cry from my Miss Universe-style I had rehearsed in my mind over and over again.
Oh well...

Thanksgiving:
Who says Singaporeans are a selfish and dishonest bunch of people? I've always maintained the belief that most Singaporeans are civic-minded and yeah I met one just the other day!
Was having ice-cream at McDonald's with Pee at Jurong Point. We had done some shopping and were carrying many bags with us. After the dessert Pee grabbed the shopping bags and we left. Moments later, this lady came running to us, holding my bag! I had carelessly left my bag on the seat! Thank God for honest people! :)
At first I didn't think much of it...'cos I don't carry much things in my bag...but when I got home I got a shock of my life... I actually have $1000 cold hard cash with me in the bag!!!!!! It was for the buying of gifts for an upcoming event. Oh my oh my...I literally froze as I thought of what could have happened if the nice lady hadn't bothered to find me. $1000 sia!! It would have been the second most expensive blunder I have made in my life (first being, if you remember, my laptop).
Thank You God! :)

It's gonna be a hectic 2 weeks ahead... Have to go for Oral Examiner duties after school...which means I have no time to do my work...Shuddering at the thought of the mountain of marking that will get higher and higher each day...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Progressing very slowing with my bike lessons...I think the earliest date to take my TP test would be in October or even Novenber...What a long and gruelling journey it has been, though it's also rather fun. Had the circuit evaluation yesterday and man...very sad... My weakest station has always been the S-course. So when I went through the S-course with no apparent problem I thought this is it, I might just pass this test. But I went to the narrow plank station, one of my most confident courses, and failed there. I also don't know what happened...had a bad start and in a flash I felt bike threatening to fall off the plank and in a frenzy I let myself steer towards the right and PLONK...my bike fell of the plank. IMMEDIATE FAILURE. Gives a whole new perspective to the phrase "my heart shattered".
That's not all...I was super sian after that fall, I didn't focus for the next course, the pylon salom (where you have to maneuver through a series of cones). Before I knew it, I didn't turn my handlebar enough and I hit the last cone. ANOTHER IMMEDIATE FAILURE. Not that it matters to the results though...a failure is a failure is a failure. The instructor was shaking his head behind me...I really felt like killing myself. Sigh... In the end I had 2 IFs and 14 demerit points (I need less than 12 points to pass). Not too bad on the demerit points, 'cos there were a few with like 20 over 30 points!
I have a feeling I'll have to repeat this test for a few more times. Just hope I don't get too demoralised. And I try not to think of the monetary cost haha...
Pee and I dropped by our future home today. Our block is still under construction while the rest are almost done, painted and all. Site says the estimated date of completion is July 2010...donno why when we bought it, it was stated Nov 2011. Pretty excited about it, but I think Pee is more excited than me. He's always wanted a place of his own 'cos his room is super crammed and overflowing with things. Finally he'll be able to have space - lots of it. Whereas for me, I have this inertia of not wanting to leave my home. Man, I've lived here all my life and I'm a true blue Jurong girl. I'm very comfortable with my life, my house...especially now since BB Gabe comes every weekday. So yah...mixed feelings...
Anyway, it's quite a nice neighbourhood. Quiet and neat... Amenities nearby too... Quite accessible also... It's near Pee's school, he can even walk over. But sob it's far from mine! Nevermind I would have my bike by then hoho...
