So this is Christmas...

Just came home from supper. Thought I'll do a quick post while waitng for my hair to dry.

My folks and bro had just returned late this evening from Hongkong and my lovely (other times irritating!)bro got me a pair of Marc Jacobs Jelly Mouse shoes. Boy am I pleased with the gift. Very pleased in fact. Plus there was good discount. Coincidentally, I had wanted to buy the same pair of jellies from On Peddar couple of months back but they ran out of my size. So nevermind that the present is only delivered now.

Manged to find a pic of the jellies online. Aint it pretty? :)

I know the jelly fever has been going on for quite awhile. Whilst I have been wanting to buy myself a pair of jelly shoes, I just havent chance upon the right pair till now. Everytime Im prepared to make the purchase, the sales staff disappointingly informs that they no longer have the size I want. So I asked my bro to look out for pretty melissa/vivenne westwood crossover jellies for me on the trip. But I never expected him to come home with this Marc Jacobs baby.

Hence in response to Keet's question, Yes I have received the presents I needed and wanted for Christmas. Notably, the abovementioned jellies from my lovely (still irritating!!) bro who knows my style perfectly, the surprise Oakleys from my indian boy who clearly knows that I need a pair of shades that can sit properly on my (not defined at all) nosebridge and also, poh's handmade present which Im looking forward to see. The iphone liner I dropped on facebook was honestly, purely, only for teasers. Importantly, I have my loved ones and friends with me this festive season and I have received really great presents from them as well. Big smiles and thanks all for the love! :)

Ok, my hair has dried and I really need to sleep. Need to go swimming tomorrow morning and seriously burn some calories after downing that yummy yet fats loaded chicken roti john at Timah past midnight.

Will manage another entry next week to sum up my year 2009.

Till then,
Drey

ps: I'd like to read an entry from each of you girls on summing up your 2009 too! Hows yours like?

Christmas 2009!

A tradition that we've kept for... 12 years?! or more?

This year, instead of going to someone's house (usually mine haha), we decided to venture out and bear the risk of being carrot heads. Haha...

but luckily, we found a place where we managed to keep within the budget, yet had a great time feasting and drinking!

We went to The Wine Company @ Evans Lodge, and on average, we only spent $30 per pax! *round of applause for ourselves!

The pale ones:

Ah Goh's business is very big lah!

We skipped the Christmas set (which was at $70/pax) and went for the sharing platters instead. Ordered pizza, grilled vegetables, pork belly, sausages platter and calamari!

The standard "us with food" photos:

After desserts (we had sundae and molten choc lava), it was time to draw lots!

See Ah Goh & Poh's anticipating looks, while Bing and I were hoping for the best... haha

Our fate lied in these pieces of tissue....

Ta-dah!

Mmmpoh got Drey's pressie (La Senza undies!) and Drey got Poh's in return... a painstakingly-made collage of our photos (see bottom left pic):

And I got Ah Bing's! A diary/organiser and earrings!

And Ah Bing received Ah Goh's.... does she heart it? Haha.. It's a beautiful lamp from Bangkok btw. The only thing Bing needs to figure out is how to hang it.

And Ah Goh drew mine! I bought a scrub, a fairy dust powder wand and this hair "clip".

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Too bad drey and ling couldn't come. We missed you 2! Let's make it up next time!

Cheers,
Yunn

Personal Milestone

Im really proud of myself, having completed the 10km run this morning.

Lack of training is pretty obvious and my left knee has been giving me issues.

Glad that I pressed on and slow jogged the entire race. My favourite song was cheering me on as I crossed the finish line.

Nevermind that Im limping around now. But I doubt I'll be fit enough for kickboxing tomorrow night..Hmmm

Next week's gonna be packed with dinners and celebrations. Department christmas dinner at The Knolls at Capella and Jessy's wedding dinner at Shang. Will be fun!

Till then, take care my sweets.

Love,
Drey

ps: Are we set on an alternative christmas gathering date?
